| In
1977, Don and Sandy Youngren started a real estate
company in Mount Vernon called Youngren &
Associates, building a great reputation in the
community and attracting some of the best talent
in the county. Going even further back in history
reveals Skagit Island Realty, a real estate and
insurance firm developed by Duane’s late
grandfather, Ace Garlinghouse, making Duane a
third-generation Realtor and owner. |

In 1997 Duane and Tiffany Youngren took over Youngren &
Associates. |

Duane
obtained his real estate agent license at age 19 and has helped
people buy and sell real estate for over 18 years. He and his
wife, Tiffany, live with their three children on an alpaca ranch.
Duane enjoys spending time with his family, working on projects,
helping people, and visiting with friends. Duane is a member
of the Burlington noon Rotary, and volunteers at Mount Vernon
Christian School.
In 1997 Duane and Tiffany Youngren took over Youngren &
Associates and adapted for the market and their time in life
as parents of very small children by scaling back and going
to a “home office” concept. Over the past 10 years,
Duane and Tiffany have bought, sold, fixed up, developed, built,
and rented out real estate. They have also taken thousands of
hours of real estate classes (both clock hour credit and non-credited
classes), and continue to thrive on taking in as much education
as they can about real estate investing. |

| Tiffany
was a licensed agent years ago, but has contributed to Youngren
Associates through marketing, company development, and property
analysis and acquisition. She enjoys spending time with her
family, coaching cheerleading, singing, and working with Hannah's
House (a home for women facing unplanned pregnancies). She is
also a member of the Board of Directors of the Mount Vernon
Chamber of Commerce. |
